Book Faire and Library help

The school librarian manages the schools book faire, with the help of parent and student volunteers. This fundraiser, raises money for the library to have the latest books, DVDs and magazines to enrich students lives and help with class projects.

The Chairperson coordinates the parent volunteers to help make copies for teachers. This takes a huge task off the teacher’s workload so they can focus on our children’s classroom time.

Dances are a great way to give our students an opportunity to socialize in a secure environment. This PTSA Sponsored event requires 10+ parents volunteer at each dance to help with coat room, food sales, dance monitoring, library supervision, and security. This Chairperson recruits and organizes the parent volunteers into shifts.

Kids are hungry all the time, so after dancing they have an opportunity to purchase food, snacks and drinks. This Chairperson manages the purchases and sales at each dance for this PTSA Sponsored program.

8th Grade Graduation event

A rite of passage for all the hard work in middle school should be rewarded. This PTSA Sponsored 8th grade only dance event is a wonderful celebration. A Committee of 10+ parents create a theme, organize games, vendors, food, music in a fun filled evening after school graduation ceremony.

This school science classroom project is fun and a hands on learning opportunity for the students. The Chairperson coordinates parent volunteers, purchases items teachers need.

This is a Hyde school wide fundraiser to help with supplies, materials needed to best support our teachers needs. The Chairperson and volunteers help sort order forms and give out prizes to students.

This is a contest sponsored by the National PTA. Students enter original works of art in four categories: literature, visual arts, photography and music. This key position manages all the volunteers, maintains a database and sends the chair people a list of volunteers. Having a large pool of volunteers takes the burden off the teachers and volunteers, so that each parents can give the hours they want and have an enjoyable experience.
